Carrie and I got to visit Tane Mahuta, the largest (by volume) Kauri tree in New Zealand, and in the world.
It’s 40 feet ACROSS! (Not around, across.)
Walking among these giants is like walking through a set of a movie about dinosaurs, only all the dinosaurs are gone, and all that’s left are the trees.
(Wait… isn’t that kind of like living on the planet today?… Hmmm… Anyway…)
Make no mistake. These ancient trees aren’t props or gimmicks. In the video you’ll see a comparison for size. They really are this big.
