The Zorb in Rotorua, New Zealand

Remember when you were a little kid, and you used to roll down a hill? It was one of the most fun things to do. But, most adults stop doing that when we grow up.

Not us. We still roll down hill sides. But, now we do it inside a giant beach ball.

Seriously.

On our way into Rotorua, we stopped at the Zorb attraction. We decided that we would come back the next day and make Zorbing our first order of business.

We got there, watched a few people roll themselves down the big hill, and then went to find out more about it.

There are 3 types of zorbing you can do: wet or dry downhill, or wet down a zig-zag course.

If you choose to go straight downhill, and choose the wet option, the ball is filled with some warm water, you climb inside, and then you tumble down the hill getting completely soaked.

And, if you choose this option, you can take up to 3 people with you in the same ball at the same time.

Jonathan and I decided that this would be the way to go. I mean, anyone can crawl into a beach ball and roll down a hill themselves, but not everyone can get TWO people inside one beach ball.

Here’s a video to sum up our Zorb experience:

We loved it. It’s a must do. In fact, I’d love to see someone open up a Zorb attraction near Keystone or Breckenridge. How awesome would that be?!
