Travel the world

I got my library card

One thing I’ve really missed on our travels is access to a library.  I’ve had to actually buy most of the books I’ve read in the last year.

That’s a new thing for me.  I read.  A. Lot.  So, a library is one of my favorite things.  And now even more so, because modern libraries are home to more than just books.  There are also DVDs for checking out.

This week, I finally got my library card for access to all 55 of Auckland’s libraries.  (Although I’ll probably only ever use one, since it’s located in the 3 blocks between where we live and where I work.)

Here are the first 4 books I checked out on my library card:

The Market Vegetarian by Ross Dobson

Rachel Ray Big Orange Book cookbook

Fluke or I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings by Christopher Moore

The Modern Vegetarian by Maria Elia

I’m such a nerd.
