I’ve found it. I’ve finally found it. The world’s best beer.

It only took me two years of travel. Trying countless local beers.

Some of them were pretty good, and some of them were completely undrinkable (I’m looking at you Hondorous. Yaitch. Yous best be fixen your beer situation.)

And I thought I’d found my favorite. The DoppelBock from Andech’s in Munich. And it’s still amazingly good.

But, I think it has a rival. And that can only be found at one restaurant in Tallinn, Estonia.

Of all places.

Seriously. Estonia? Winner of the Best Beer Award, goes to Estonia?

Yes. Yes it does. Their Dark Honey beer had me wishing I could change my plane flight the next day. (And looking back, maybe I should have…because I really enjoyed Estonia, and Barcelona let me down.)

The restaurant is the Olde Hansa. And it’s a lot of fun. We didn’t eat there, we just went for a beer. Ok, 3 beers. Each. And I wish I’d had more.

We’ll be back. And when we do, I’m going to find a way to bring some that beer back with me.
