Map of the world – Vietnam style
Today was a complete surprise, and it was filled with some of my favorite things – food, culture, and new friends.
An afternoon bike ride takes us from Hoi An to Cua Dai beach in Vietnam
Hoi An, Vietnam. We spent 9 days in Hoi An because we enjoyed it so much. Much of Hoi An industry comes from food and tailor made clothing. Tourism and hotel industry is rapidly growing in Hoi An as well.
We recommend requesting a room that’s not at the front of the Jasmine hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam. Though they do a great job with the rooms, they would have a very hard time blocking the city noises of Hanoi from the street to any of the rooms on the front of the hotel. At the Jasmine Hotel, our room was small but nice, and because it was quite cold the 2 nights we were there, they gave us an extra comforter.
After spending 3 days walking around and looking at tailor shops here in Hoi An, I can safely say that the 4 tailors/clothing shops we bought clothes from are all places you could go and be very happy with the end result for your tailored clothes.
The Vietnamese take fresh coconut, fresh pineapple juice, superfine chopped peanuts, and mashed them with a sweet potato. The sweet potato they use is the white kind. It was delicious Sweet Potato, Coconut, Peanut, and Pineapple.
What to see if you have one day in Hue, Vietnam
Waterland Hotel in Hue Vietnam is one of those places that is “good enough”.
