Yum.
I’m not even sure how to explain the deliciousness that we partook of today in the Delhi airport and at our hotel in Udaipur, India, but I do want to comment on naan.
Naan is flatbread, and a staple in many parts of India, though apparently (according to Wikipedia) it may have been invented in Afghanistan.
Today I had garlic naan in the land where I thought it was invented…
I’ve had garlic naan before in the western world… in the UK and in the US.
Garlic naan in the US is not even the same thing as garlic naan in India.
I mean, it is the same thing I guess, but the flavors here are like swimming in the most beautiful ocean, while the naan I’ve had up until now (though I didn’t know it until today) is like swimming in a backyard pool.
Swimming in the backyard pool is still fun… it’s just not the same.
Garlic naan in India = delicious.
I am so excited for you guys. I did talk to you about the yummy food in India. I am glad you liked it. Enjoy 🙂
Oh… so… yummy… Just getting started too!
