Everyone has their own guacamole recipe. And, everyone likes it a little bit different.
You’re lucky enough that I’m sharing mine with you. 🙂
Here in Ecuador, avocados grow “like a noxious weed” (at least that’s what our teacher says).
That sounds like a problem I wish we had in Colorado.
At the organic food market that we go to every Thursday, avocados are $0.35 each. We usually buy 4.
That means we get to find lots of ways to eat avocados. And, at the moment, guacamole is our favorite.
2 ripe avocados
2-3 cloves garlic, minced (we like our garlic)
½ small white onion, minced
3 Tablespoons of chopped cilantro
2 handfuls cheery tomatoes, seeded, chopped
½ Tablespoon cumin, ground
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Pinch salt, Pinch black pepper (both to taste)
1 small lime, juiced.
Mix and enjoy!
Here in Ecuador, we serve ours with homemade chifles! Delicious!
Yummmm! Guacamole!
