Last year for Christmas, Carrie gave me 1 date a month for 12 months.
This year we’ve gotten to do lots of fun things like a night for a German game called “Mensch Aergere Dich Nicht” (a game like Sorry), and floating rubber Ducks down the Cherry Creek river!
December’s date was to go and look at Christmas lights.
But there was a twist – it was a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt!
Here is the list of items that was to be discovered:
- Candy Cane
- Rudolph
- Life-sized Santa
- The Griswalds
- All One Color
- Gingerbread Man
- Deflated Inflatable
- Nativity Scene
- A Reference to the 12 Days of Christmas
So off we drove, hot chocolates in hand, to our Christmas Lights Scavenger hunt.
We also found what I would call “Christmas Oddities”
The message didn’t self-destruct.
That’s because we found *almost* everything on the list (Gingerbread Man still yet to be discovered – I guess Gingerbread Men run as fast as they can, so we couldn’t catch them).
We also had to do some finagling to get the man to deflate his inflatables for us, but it was a good time for sure!
Thank you for a wonderful December date, Carrie!
