Hell In a Handbasket?
The next time someone tells you that the world is going to “hell in a handbasket” or something similar, they’re probably thinking:
- There just aren’t good people anymore
- The situation looks bleak because the solution is too expensive
- It’s so hard to find good people
- the world is generally unsafe
If someone tells you nonsense like that, I hope you’ll remember this post on our web site and return to it.
Those opinions are just opinions, and are really nonsense when stacked up against the overwhelming and incontrovertible truth that there are strong and incredible people around the world.
The world is in fact full of amazing people…

The Island Reef Job: How Many Videos Did You Submit?
| If you haven’t visited our video on the official site yet, we’d really appreciate you if you could do that for us… the link opens in a new window and goes directly to our video: IslandReefWork.com |
“How Many Videos Did You Submit?”
This was a question I was recently asked.
In total, 5 videos.
Two videos were submitted using Carrie’s two email addresses, two using my email addresses, and one using our support email address for GreenJoyment.
I know this may have increased their workload a bit at Queensland Tourism’s offices (reviewing 5 minutes of video instead of 1 minute), but I read/heard in an interview on the Indie Travel Podcast, that they would accept all applications, even multiples from the same person, as long as they came from different email addresses.
I took that as an open invitation… hopefully that was a good opinion to arrive at.
We’ll find out soon enough!
So over the course of the past few weeks, we’ve made 5 videos, each approaching us, the island reef job, and the reef from a different perspective.
Here are the videos, in the order we submitted them…

Where Is All That Money Going?
A little while back, I wrote a post called “How much is 700 Billion Really?”
When it comes down to it, the United States government will be putting more like 1.5 trillion additional into play in the next few years (which I believe will lead to excessive inflation – but that’s a different topic).
An interesting link you may want to check out is http://www.stimuluswatch.org/project/by_state (Sent to us by Renee Fields)
You may find it interesting to see where your state’s funding from the stimulus package is going.

Contact form is back
For anyone who may have attempted to contact us via the contact page in the last couple of days, please accept our apologies.
The contact form was down because someone (me) uploaded the wrong template.
It’s relatively technical and geeky so I won’t bore you with the details, but just FYI, the contact form is back.
Thanks for understanding my operator error!

Stingray Migration Pictures
Stingray migration
(Sent by Renee Fields)
I supposed it’s possible that this is a hoax email, but just the thought of being around to see something this magnificent made it necessary to post anyway.
Looking like giant leaves floating in the sea, thousands of Golden Rays are seen here gathering off the coast of Mexico . The spectacular scene was captured as the magnificent creatures made one of their biannual mass migrations to more agreeable waters.
Gliding silently beneath the waves, they turned vast areas of blue water to gold off the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Sandra Critelli, an amateur photographer, stumbled across the phenomenon while looking for whale sharks.
She said: ‘It was an unreal image, very difficult to describe. The surface of the water was covered by warm and different shades of gold and looked like a bed of autumn leaves gently moved by the wind.

We Are All SO Rich. Don’t Believe Me?
Maybe it’s been prompted by the news I’ve heard lately that we’re in some sort of global economic crisis, but I’ve been thinking a lot about how much wealth the average person has.
And not just in America or in the Western world, but all around the world, we have so much wealth.
If you don’t believe me, try this one on for size.
Assuming you are a sighted person…

Island Reef Job – Outtakes and Additions
As most of you know by now, Carrie and I are applying for the best job in the world!
What you don’t see in our application is the outtakes reel, or the entirely new section of our web site we’ve built and devoted to this worldwide event.
So, the link below will take you so that you can see both the outtakes and the new section of our web site.
We’d love your comments and, as always, thank-you very, very much for your interest, encouragement, and enthusiasm for helping us accomplish our dreams and goals.
We hope we are able to do as much for you as you do for us, though we sometimes aren’t sure that’s possible, so thank-you!![]()
Take a look at the outtakes here…
