It is January 7, 1996 and Jonathan is 16 when he’s writing this
Would We Have Spoken
by Jonathan Kraft
If we had spoken
what we wished to speak,
would we not have spoken
of life, love, and friendship;
the things of true importance?
But rather in our ignorance,
we have often forgotten those
that are among the greatest of matter
and have instead
resulted to violence, war, and hate.
Why do we speak of these things
And demonstrate them
in our most powerful media
if what we want is something
so very different?
