Poem: Steam Cloud Swirls

This poem was written for a client in 2013.

Steam Cloud Swirls
by Jonathan Kraft

Steam cloud swirls
shapes that disappear
and re-appear again
a manhole cover
that society built
three inch steel
causes this art

Big bright lights
glowing billboards above
beaming down messages
coercing and inspiring
contrasting the walk
on blacktop underfoot

What others create
can cause inspiration
when we take in
when we allow
ourselves the realization
we are capable
of anything
