Poem: The Life-Givers

The life-Givers
by Jonathan Kraft

We are the life givers.
Our lives are simple miracles,
and because we know this fact,
we choose to be miracles unconsciously.

The love we give — we know will return
to us; in some way that we perhaps
did not even think of. (Most likely it returns
from another life giver.)

We believe in the power of simple human kindness,
and so we act out of simple human kindness
We believe in joy, not in happiness.
Happiness is achieved by the reception of something
Joy is only truly accepted out of a love of life.
We choose to live in this love.

We are not perfect,
but when we submit to the flaw of happiness; by way of
making fun of someone, or having fun at the expense
of someone (- including ourselves -) we make amends
through apologies and through our actions.

We are the life givers. Our code of conduct is simple.
Love life, respect the miracle that life is,
be this miracle.
