Poem: The Middle Man

The Middle Man
by Jonathan Kraft

Written August 2005

Please don’t
Hate me
Or weight me
Or try to debate me
in the times when your intention
is really to bait me

I am the middle man
Always stuck in-between
I strive and I drive
and I live to survive
in that place that is so often seen.

Be it the Libra
the middle brother
the son of a great mother
who is always willing to help any thing

I am the middleman,
what do you desire? I’m keen
to grow and to show
the things you don’t know
and build something so I’m not too lean

Found in the sun
Or phas-ed moon
or the reminiscent tune
of all you will be or have been

I am the middleman
Please don’t think that I’m mean
when I run my own race,
set my own pace,
and work for a world more serene.
