Poem: Sorry I Got Drunk And Proposed To You

This was a poem written for a client who requested the following:

i proposed my very good friend …i want to say sorry please any poem on that she is a very good friend of mine and hurt.  i was drunk and i proposed her .. i dont know about outcome but i want her to know that it was a real mistake which will not repeat

I asked for more details or information, but this was all that they gave me.

So below is the poem I wrote.

Sorry I Got Drunk And Proposed

We are friends thick and thin
Together we have been through a lot
In every situation
It’s my evaluation
that you’re one of the best friends I’ve got

And so I’m coming to you with sadness
and the fullness of an open heart too
The pressure I sent
was not what I meant
when I got drunk and proposed to you

Your friendship means the world to me
I’m sorry that I’ve caused any hurt
My words were baited
When I was inebriated
Next time, I promise, I’ll be more alert

Again, I am so very sorry
I hope that this poem helps to mend
the words that were said
from an unclear head
I am so glad to call you my friend
