These are lamps. There are women who walk along side the procession, each balancing one of these giant lamps (it comes up to my shoulder, and is made of plaster) ON THEIR HEAD.

Description: We got to go to a Hindu marriage ceremony in Bilaspur, India. We were part of the groom's procession, and paraded and danced down the street in what was quite possibly the loudest experience of my life.
